For His Glory By His Grace,

Jesus Christ is one of the most well-known figures in the world, but what is known about Him is often misaligned with what scripture actually teaches.  In John’s Gospel, we find a beautiful and clear picture of who Christ is and why it is important to know Him.  Jesus praying in John 17:3 says, “And this is eternal life, that they know you the only rue God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.”  As John opens his gospel we see Christ as the Word that was in the beginning recalling the creation account in Genesis chapter one.  This same Word was God and was with God.  John continues to say that the Word became flesh and lived among us (v. 14) and we have seen His glory.  Therefore, Jesus is God, who created all that exists.  Do you see Jesus this way?  Do you see Him in His glory?  My prayer is that you would think about Jesus, who created the very womb from which He was born in order to die and atone for the sins of all who believe an watch this truth grab the root of your soul.  Join us in a journey of truth. Let us know you throughs and preyaer needs.

Although we all think continually, more often our thoughts are dominated by what life throws at us which takes our thoughts away from Christ.  Paul gives us a key to living a worshipful life in Romans 12 when he says to be transformed by the “renewal of your mind.”  Several places in the New Testament we also find the idea that our thinking should be centered on eternal things.  As Christian, if we are not focused on the Gospel, our worldly thinking can dominate us.  Thinking on the Gospel, Grace and Truth becomes a reminder of what Christ ahs done to reconcile us in His body of flesh by Hid death.  Jesus’ death was for God’s righteousness so that God could display His holiness while forgiving undeserving sinners.  It is greatly powerful in the lives of believers to meditate and think about the Gospel of Christ.  Pray for God to renew your joy in Him and begin to read John’s gospel, we’ll journey there next week.  We are still praying for you and want to hear from you.

For His Glory by His Grace,

Life is full of frustration and that is not going to change. As long as we live in this world the effects of sin will be felt. The good news is that our God is a loving and merciful God who is His rich mercy crucified His son to satisfy His wrath against sin.  God, being satisfied with Jesus’ life and death, raised Him from the dead and promised that all who have faith in Christ will live eternally, forgiven and justified before Him.  Does this truth have power in your life?  Or do you feel defeated and broken?  Does church feel like a full time job?  Your faith, your worship and your passion should grow you in His grace, which is His power in your life.  The Word of God Alone gives grace to His children.  Open you Bible and seek Him today.  Start slowing down in all areas of your life.  If we are weak in our intimacy with Christ we are worthless in our religion.  “You then, my child, be strengthened by the grace that is in Christ Jesus…” 2 Timothy 2:1

Let us help you in your walk, your struggles and your faith.  Contact us, we want to pray for you.

For His Glory by His Grace,

Pastor James
